Flameshot v15.0.0 released
By SecBurg
Flameshot is the open-source screenshot tool with built-in annotation - available for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
Version v15.0.0 is out. It is a feature and polish release after the big multi-monitor rework in v14, with 9 new features, around 20 bug fixes and 25 first-time contributors.
Notable additions: an arrow style selector, GUI colors configurable via hex values, and a native X11 capture fallback when the screenshot portal is unavailable. Closing pinned captures moved from double-click to a configurable shortcut. On the fix side, there are several Windows CLI and HiDPI pin-size fixes, a monitor selector that no longer hangs after being closed via the window manager, and a handful of macOS packaging and clipboard fixes.
More highlights:
Keyboard controls for the monitor selector
Circle counter: change value with the mouse wheel, outline can be disabled
Text tool now commits on Esc
Filterable search box for the UI language picker
More desktop terminal emulators supported by the launcher
Hyprland and minimal X11 window manager usage docs
Windows builds with Control Flow Guard enabled
